3Generate 2022
On Friday evening (30th Sept) nine young people and three leaders set off in a minibus for the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. This was to be the venue for 3Generate, the Methodist Church National Youth Event. In spite of torrential rain for a large part of the journey, we arrived safely and were soon being led by one of the many volunteers to our place in 'The Village' - an aircraft hangar size space covered with tents of various sizes.
Over the following two days there was the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities such as art and crafts, faith conversations on a range of issues, looking at life on the margins of society, computer games in the 'Tech Hub' and more. There were also worship opportunities at various times, including 'Big Worship' for an hour on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with virtually everyone joining in.
I will leave it there for now, because I am sure you would much rather hear what the young people made of it themselves - watch this space!

We are excited to be able to share the 3Generate After Movie with you!
Over 2000 people gathered at the NEC in Birmingham for 3Generate back at the end of September. Children, young people, their leaders plus an incredible delivery team (that’s you!) and contributors made the Methodist children and youth assembly happen.
Through the course of those 48 hours there were a range of ways to Tune In to God, worship, explore and talk about faith, join in with creative activities, get sporty and exercise, learn more about the issues children and young people care about as well as hearing their voice. We packed a lot into a short space of time and we hope you enjoyed being a part of it!
